on 18 November 2011 by the Harlow Conservative Ladies Club. This year marks the third year since the Tamil Conservatives
have taken part in this event.

Happy times with Lee Scott, MP Ilford North – 14 July 2011

The British Tamil Conservatives were delighted to participate in the the Fund Raising Dinner arranged by Ilford North Conservative Association. Lee Scott MP, for Ilford North had Bob Stewart DSO, MP for Beckenham as chief guest. Mr Stewart’s straight talk and warm and friendly approach made all those at the dinner feel at ease. Around thirty members of the Tamil community attended the dinner showing their appreciation for Lee Scott, MP who is a true friend to the community.

Essex Fundraising Dinner

This event took place on the 18th of October 2009 and was organised by the British Tamil Conservatives. The event took place at the Mary Green Manor Hotel and was attended by 100 members. The chief guest was Hon. James Brokenshire, MP for Hornchurch and Shadow Minister for Home Affairs. Other guests included Andrew Rosindell,MP, Lee Scott, MP, Mr Toby Boutle, PPC Ilford South, Mr Andrew Charalambous, PPC Edmonton, Mr Robert Halfon, PPC Harlow, Mr Gavin Barwell, PPC Croydon Central,Mrs Ramsey, Representative of Angela Watkins, MP, Upminster,  Mr Keith Prince, Redbridge Councillor and Mr Blaine Robin, councillor .

The evening began with a drinks reception and was followed by a formal sit down dinner after grace was said. After dinner speeches began with Patrick Ratnarajah the Vice President welcoming our guests. The key note speech was given by Mr Brokenshire followed by speeches from Mr Scott and Mr Rosindell. Speeches were followed by the PPC’s sharing their thoughts.

The British Tamil Conservatives were able to donate a total of £6000 to various local Conservative campaign funds.

Our guests had a very enjoyable evening and this was reflected in the write up on Robert Halfon’s blog.

Attending Churchillian Dinner in Harlow

The British Tamil Conservatives supported this event by booking 1 table. We were very warmly welcomed by the Harlow Conservatives. The chief guest at this function was Hon. Ian Duncan Smith and we were honoured to be introduced to him.

Attending Chipping Barnet ( Theresa Villiers) Fundraising Dinner with David Cameron

This event took place at the Emerald Suite in Barnet. The British Tamil Conservatives were able to support this event by booking 2 tables. It was an enjoyable evening and Theresa Villiers, Shadow secretary for Transport brought Mr David Cameron the leader of the conservative Party to introduce us. Mr Cameron spent some time talking and listening to us.
