- The British Tamils need to engage in the national as well as the local political processes of Britain, within the Conservative Party with the aim of informing the party and contributing to its policy decisions which affect the Tamil community;
- The British Tamils need to collectively articulate their common concerns within the Conservative Party;
- The British Tamils need to increase the awareness, within the Conservative Party and among the people of Britain in general and the policy makers in particular, the collective concerns and aspirations of the Tamil community in Britain;
The British Tamils need to increase the Social and political profile of the Tamil community within the Conservative Party and in Britain
- To this end, we, the founding members, who reside in United Kingdom, come together to create an entity and ordain it as ‘British Tamil Conservatives’.
